Corey Fujimoto from Hawaii Music Supply gives us a few fingerpicking patterns for the uke that we can pretty much spend the rest of our lives trying to master. These are the type of exercises you need to work on though, if you want technical prowess of the ukulele. The only way to get “there” is many hours of practice! With that, you can achieve strength in your hands, muscle memory, and musical endurance required to create dynamics and excitement in your music! If you are a beginner, just try to get these patterns very slowly. If you are already jammin’, try incorporating these styles with the melodies in your head. Hopefully it will further diversify your arsenal of techniques. Aloha, and mahalo for visiting TheUkuleleReview!
